Joanne Johnson from the Herkimer County Humane Society joined NewsTalk Monday evening with a FURever Friend named Joy.
Joy is an 8-week-old mixed breed puppy, and the Humane Society believes she’s got some Husky and German Shepherd in her. Based on the size of her paws already, she’s expected to be a big dog!
Everybody loves puppies, but it’s important to remember they’re very active and require a lot of care, and they can’t be left alone by themselves all day.
Joy and her three siblings are currently available for adoption at the Herkimer County Humane Society. The Humane Society will be accepting adoption applications over the next couple days.
If you’re interested in adopting one of the puppies, or another pet at the Humane Society, you can fill out an application in person at 514 State Rt. 5S in Mohawk.
If you have questions, you can call the Herkimer County Humane Society at 315-866-3255.
