Herkimer woman accused of having sexual contact with child

The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center reports 51-year-old Brenda L. Johnson is charged with misdemeanor third degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

UTICA – A Herkimer woman was arrested after police say she had sexual contact with a child.

The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center reports 51-year-old Brenda L. Johnson is charged with misdemeanor third degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi says Johnson allegedly had sexual contact with a child younger than 17 years old while in Utica.

Johnson was ticketed and is scheduled to be in Utica City Court at an unspecified date.

Deputies say the alleged victim was offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
