UTICA, NY -- The Utica Police Department has a very special member: K9 Officer Wolf.

Wolf and his handler Officer Sean Bubnis work together on the force to protect and serve the City of Utica and the surrounding community. The pair attend several trainings throughout the year, and they do many different things to keep citizens safe.

Wolf is certified in tracking and explosive detection. Wolf and Officer Bubnis work in the patrol division, but they also do special work for various events within the community like the Boilermaker Road Race, concerts, and Utica Comets games at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Recently, Wolf received a brand new bullet and stab-proof vest through a donation by Vested Interest in K9s Inc. The vest is now a part of Wolf's everyday routine.

So now Wolf is being protected, while he's out protecting you!

We had Wolf & Officer Bubnis on our morning show a couple of months ago to talk about how they were preparing for the new vest. Click here for that story.
