UPDATE: A man has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a shooting on Conkling Avenue in Utica, where one person was injured.
According to the Utica Police Department, officers reported to a shots fired incident and found a male victim, who was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his upper thigh around 10:30 a.m. near the 1500 block on Conkling Avenue.
Through an investigation police were able to locate, arrest and charge, 44-year-old Durrell Dow, with attempted murder, in the second degree, robbery, criminial possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm.
The victim was treated at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
UPDATE: Utica City School District officials say the lockout has been lifted.
Police are currently investigating the shooting that occurred on Conkling Avenue this morning.

UTICA – Utica police are responding to a report of shots fired on Conkling Avenue.
The incident was first reported at 10:36 a.m., according to the Oneida County 911 Center. The incident reportedly happened in the 1500 block of Conkling Avenue, near the corner of Arthur Street.
The Utica Fire Department is also responding to the scene.
