A registered sex offender from Utica is facing new charges for allegedly possessing child porn and distributing indecent material to a minor, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi, director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.

Twenty-year-old Michael Klockowski, a Level 2 sex offender, is charged with second-degree disseminating indecent material to a minor and two counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, all of which are felonies.

According to Lisi, the Child Advocacy Center’s investigation stems from a criminal trespass arrest on June 24 after Klockowski was allegedly found in a 12-year-old female’s home.

Klockowski was on probation from a conviction of second-degree rape in 2017, after he had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old female, according to the state sex offender registry. He was sentenced to 10 years of probation and was registered as a Level 2 sex offender.

Klockowski is now being held at the Oneida County Jail on a probation violation, without bail.

Lisi says the investigation is ongoing, and the victim has been offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
