Woman arrested on charges of Forgery and Grand Larceny

Oriskany Police arrested a former Oriskany woman for forgery and grand larceny.

ORISKANY- Oriskany Police said Joianne Jones, 39, of Brewertown (formerly of Oriskany) was arrested on January 5th on charges of Grand Larceny and Forgery.

They arrested Jones with one count of third-degree Grand Larceny and two counts of second-degree Forgery.

Police said they believe Jones was involved in missing donation money raised through a GoFundme account that was set up to benefit an Oriskany family who lost their home and belongings in a fire in 2015.

Jones was arraigned in Oneida County Court and will appear in Oriskany court at a later date.
