During Wednesday's congressional debate, a disruption from an audience member forced a commercial break. The man was yelling about an alleged incident involving his son being stabbed at Donovan Middle School, in Utica. NEWSChannel 2 did contact Superintendent of Utica Schools Marilyn Skermont for a comment.

According to the superintendent, the alleged incident happened last Friday in the cafeteria. One student was asking another for a signature. It was at that time one student was poked with a pen. The student was bleeding and then sent to the nurse's office, where the student received a band-aid.

At this time, it's unclear whether or not that incident, which was the only one reported on Friday, is what the gentleman was talking about.

We did attempt to contact both D.A. Mike Arcuri, and Senator Ray Meier for comment. Only Mr. Meier returned our call. He had this to say:

"It's the kind of thing you don't expect to see at a live debate. It's a little difficult to answer a serious question when someone is yelling, and when everything was under control, I answered."

So far, the Arcuri campaign has not returned our call.
