On Wednesday, candidates for congress, Mike Arcuri and Ray Meier, spent an hour with Bingo players at the Whitestown Senior Center, talking about life as a congressional candidate. With hours on the road and countless assaults on character, each candidate admits there's a personal toll most people cannot see.

Both Arcuri and Meier have logged thousands of miles on the road throughout the eleven county district, and they've spent thousands more in campaign advertising. Each man says they try to mix the right amount of campaign time with family time.

"It's tough. It takes its toll, not just on me, but on my family," says Arcuri. "We don't let the kids watch TV because you know we just don't want them to see those kinds of commercials. It's difficult. People just don't know the kind of pressure that puts on a family."

"My wife and our two kids are one hundred percent behind me," says Senator Meier. "They're very committed to me. We made the decision to do this, and we're working on it as a family, and it really makes it easier when you've got them behind you."
