Koziol Race

By Laurie Benedict

A Utica attorney held a campaign rally late Sunday. Leon Koziol met with supporters at the Hartford Queen diner on Commerical Drive in New Hartford.

Several people spoke and touted Koziol as the candidate to fill the 24th congressional seat.

Koziol himself stated that his campaign isn't littered with big money, which makes him appealing to voters.

Koziol commented, "I'm getting a lot of encouragement from people I have helped with land claim areas. They identify with my kind of campaign, especially the advocacy I bring to people. Everybody in this district is important to me, not just packed group or the money interests that career politicians are more in line with."

Here' s a look at the candidates who have confirmed that they are either running or are interested in running. They are: Oneida County District Attorney Michael Arcuri, Brad Jones from Seneca Falls, Les Roberts of Chenango County, and Bruce Tytler, the former mayor of Cortland.
