Judge Gerald Popeo Unanimously Wins Nominations

Judicial conventions were held this week, in the 5th judicial district.
Utica city court Judge Gerald Popeo unanimously won the nominations of three parties for Supreme Court justice: republican, independence, and conservative.

Popeo said quote, "It's been a busy and successful week. Going into November with three lines gives our effort a tremendous boost."

The 5th judicial district covers Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Jefferson, Onondaga, and Oswego counties. Popeo is looking to fill the seat of Supreme Court Justice John Buckley who is retiring at the end of 2006.
