Decision 2006

Republican Rick Allen has announced that he'll seek a third term as Oneida County Clerk. The announcement was made Thursday morning at Hotel Utica.

Allen, a former teacher, entered public office 6 years ago. Among some of the biggest changes he has made since being in office includes improvements to the DMV and implementing a Regional Record Center.

Allen says he is proud of the changes he has made.

"I'm proud to run on my record. That's something everyone has to remember that I'm proud of my record. I did the things I set out initially to do."

Right now, Allen would face Kirkland Town Supervisor Annette Foley in a Republican primary. Sandra DePerno is running for clerk on the Democratic side.
