Vincent Femia

By Cindy McNicholl

Vincent Fermia, 29, is preparing to run his first Boilermaker 15k after participating in the 5k race with his mother, Patty, in the past.

He was diagnosed with autism, but through the support of his family and The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, has been able to overcome many obstacles in order to reach his dream of running in the 15k.

A member of The Arc's Charity Bib Program, Vincent will be accompanied by The Arc Team and his family during both the training period, and the run itself.

He currently works for The Arc at Arnold Avenue, and graduated high school from Sauquoit Valley High School.

His favorite foods are Chinese, Pizza, and chips. He also loves to go cross-country skiing, swimming, cycling, bowling, kayaking, horseback riding, and of course, running.
