RoAnn Destito wins 116th District Assembly Race

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - In the 116th District Assembly Race, Incumbent Democratic Assemblywoman RoAnn Destito defeated challenger Kevin McDonald. Destito captured about 67% of the vote to McDonald's 33%.

She celebrated with about 30 supporters in Rome Tuesday night. Destito, who has served in the assembly since 1992 is excited to be voted back to Albany but knows her challengers which start with the state's deficit are large.
