The Contest: The contestants must guess what the official high temperature will be on the date of April 15, 2010, as recorded in Fahrenheit degrees by the National Weather Service at the Oneida County Airport, Griffiss Park, Rome, N.Y. In case of multiple entries with the correct temperature, a random drawing of all of the correct entries will be held. The drawing, if needed, will be held in the afternoon of Friday, April 16, 2010. The odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received.
Entry: No purchase necessary. Contestants may enter the contest by completing an official entry blank available at New York Sash, 349 Oriskany Boulevard, Whitesboro, and New York Sash, Sangertown Square, New Hartford, depositing the completed form in the contest box at those locations.

Contestants may also enter on-line by filling out the electronic form on the NewsChannel 2 website, www.wktv.com.
Contestants may also enter through the mail by writing, on a standard post card, and must contain all of the following required information; name, address, phone number, date of birth, testament to home ownership in New York State and their guess for the correct temperatures.
Contestants may submit only one (1) entry per household per day.
Deadlines: The deadline for entries submitted at the NY Sash business location is 2:00PM, Saturday, April 10, 2010. The deadline for entries submitted by mail is a postmark of April 10, 2010. The deadline for entries submitted on the internet, via www.wktv.com, is 11:59PM, April 10, 2010.
Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize is an outdoor deck only, the value of which, including materials and labor, will be up to and not to exceed $10,000.
Eligibility: Contestants must be legal U.S. residents, 18 years or older and a New York State homeowner in Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery or Otsego counties. Employees of WKTV, Smith Media License Holdings, LLC, New York Sash, New York Deck & Dock, Schayes Inc. and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win.
Conditions: Contest winner must take possession of the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize is non-transferable.
The Grand Prize can be redeemed for cash at a value at 1/10 the estimated cost of the Grand Prize. The redemption value will not exceed $1,000.
Winner is responsible for acquiring any and all permits required for the construction of the Grand Prize.
Winner is responsible for payment of all permit fees, federal, state and local taxes on the prize and for any other expenses not specified herein, and relating to the acceptance and use of their prize. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or equivalent.
Construction of the Grand Prize is contingent upon the winner’s compliance with all prevailing local laws and delivery will take place at the discretion of New York Sash.
By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.
By checking the yes box or by selecting a product in the “Yes, I would like more information on:” section of entry you authorize New York Sash, Schayes Inc. and affiliated companies to contact you via mail, e-mail and telephone regarding this giveaway, additional product information, sales promotions now or in the future, and for soliciting the sale of Home Improvement products. This authorization is effective even if you are listed on the Federal Do Not Call Registry. The authorization remains effective until a formal request is made to be placed on the Schayes, Inc. dba New York Sash Do Not Call List.
The winner will be required to sign a liability release prior to accepting the Grand Prize and agree to hold WKTV, its corporate licensee, Smith Media License Holding, LLC, its corporate parent, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, New York Sash, New York Deck & Dock, Schayes Inc , affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
Neither WKTV, its corporate licensee, Smith Media License Holding, LLC, its corporate parent, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, New York Sash, New York Deck & Dock, Schayes Inc, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any contest related materials or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage-due mail or entries.
WKTV, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WKTV Web Site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of WKTV.
WKTV reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.
