BUTTERMILK WAFFLES

2 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 eggs
2 1/4 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup butter, melted
Pure maple syrup

Preheat waffle iron. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, and butter. Add to flour mixture; whisk until blended. Bake waffles in a waffle iron until crisp and golden brown, 2 to 5 minutes, or according to manufacturer’s directions. Repeat. Serve with maple syrup. Makes 6 servings.
