Utica man sentenced for insurance fraud scheme

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Utica man was sentenced, today, for his role in an insurance and health care fraud scheme.

Authorities say Joseph Dellerba, 66, and co-conspirators staged a car accident on Harbor Lock Road in Utica back in 2006. Dellerba claimed he was injured.

Dellerba pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 months in jail along with paying a restitution of $1.4 million.
