Two sent to hospital after car accident in Whitesboro
WHITESBORO - Whitesboro police were on the scene of an accident on Main Street this morning that began just as the snow was falling. A car and a truck were involved. Jason M. Mosher, 24, of Whitesboro was exiting the Whitestown Center parking lot onto Main Street when he pulled into the path of a truck driven by Michael R. Edwards, 51, of Utica. As a result of the accident, Whitesboro Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life tools to extricate Mosher from his car and was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical center for hip injuries. Edwards was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for head injuries. According to police, Mosher has been charged with failure to yield the right of way when entering a roadway. He is due to appear in Whitesboro Village Court on March 25. |
