State Senator Valesky weighs in on Espada switch

STATEMENT FROM SENATOR DAVID J. VALESKY, VICE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE NEW YORK STATE SENATE:

"Today's resolution will enable the Senate to get back to work, allowing us to pass legislation, like the Power for Jobs extension, that keeps people working and keeps companies in Central New York, and will finally end one of the most embarrassing ordeals in the history of the Senate. It is also time to redouble our efforts to enact the real, bipartisan reforms I have long advocated for, which would empower all 62 senators. Though this has been a painful and frustrating five weeks, I am hopeful that a stronger, more deliberative Senate will emerge, for the benefit of the people of New York State."
