"Hannah Montana" Movie in New Hartford

By Kristen Copeland

NEW HARTFORD - One of the hottest concerts of the year sold out faster than you could say "Hannah Montana". But Miley Cyrus is going to be in town for a full week...but it's not your average concert.

"It's more crisp, more clean, it's brighter," said an assistant manager at Marquee Cinemas in New Hartford. "It's kind of like comparing high definition to regular analog TV or something like that."

He isn't talking about the logistics of a live concert...he's talking about the next best thing. - a Disney Digital 3D Production of the Hannah Montana Tour.

"I just like to watch her show," said Tara Gonzales, 8, of New York Mills. "Sometimes I put my wig of hers on and dance and sing."

Gonzales will be dancing and singing to Hannah Montana this weekend at the Marquee.

"It's definitely more advanced than a regular 3D or film or anything like that," the assistant manager said. "It's definitely something to look out for, I would say."

The Marquee is expecting a huge crowd, not because of the science behind the show, or the fact that it's the first 3D music concert at the theater.

"I'm just going with my mom and friend, Lexi, and her grandma."

The concert will run from this Friday until next Thursday, with a show every two hours.

Be prepared to pay a little more than the average movie at the Marquee, though. Tickets are $15 each.
