FORESPORT- State Police are investigating a snowmobile accident that has left one Oneida County man dead.

It happened near Smith Road in the Township of Boonville. State Police say Craig Albert, 22, was snowmobiling by himself, traveling at a high rate of speed, when he failed to make a curve, hitting a tree head-on.

Albert's family owns the White Lake Inn. Police say he was last seen leaving the establishment at 10:30 p.m.

Another snowmobiler came upon the accident scene this morning.
