t was a big week for headliners for the week of March 15th - March 21st:

* The jury returned a verdict in the trial of a man accused of killing a Utica Police Officer - Wesley Molina Cirino, also known as "Flaco."

* A Clinton teen accused of stabbing his grandfather to death in January was back in court.

* A man wanted for murder in Georgia was arrested in Utica...for another crime.

* David Paterson was sworn in as New York State Governor

* A Rome graduate fighting for his country dies in the line of duty in Baghdad.

* Metropolitan Laurus of the Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville passes away.

* A breach in security puts Hannaford shoppers and their credit and debit cards at risk.

* Utica Common Council passes the Mayor's 2008 City Budget, leaving it now in the hands of Mayor David Roefaro for approval.

* A new soup kitchen opens in Utica hoping to address the needs of the underprivileged.
