Police: Driver cut-off triggers four-car accident on arterial

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police say that only minor injuries were sustained following a four-car crash on the arterial in the City of Utica on Monday night.

The accident happened near the French Road exit when a man claims he got cut off by another car, swerved to the left and then hit a guardrail. Police say that caused the driver to spin around and face north in the southbound lane.

Police say a second car then came up to the scene, couldn't stop and hit the first car head-on. A third car then approached the accident scene, slowed down, and got rear-ended by a fourth car, police said.

No tickets have been issued at this time.
