SUNY Oneonta achieves "Best College" ranking

ONEONTA, N.Y. (WKTV) - SUNY Oneonta has been named one of the "Best Regional Universities" by the U.S. News and World Report's 2014 ranking, the school announced Tuesday.

The college ranks No. 66 in the "Best Regional Universities-North" category, which includes schools in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and New England. SUNY Oneonta ranks number 16 among public institutions in the region.

"As we continue to work with Governor Cuomo to position SUNY and New York to lead in affordability, access and quality, and President Obama puts these issues into focus nationally, we are proud to be recognized and ranked favorably by U.S. News & World Report," said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher. "Congratulations to SUNY Oneonta and the many campuses representing SUNY on this list."
