VERONA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The news of Tiger Woods coming to Central New York spread quickly Friday. It is safe to say, those who play and follow golf, were pretty excited.

To most golf fans Tiger Woods coming to Turning Stone can be summed up as one young golfer put while leaving Hidden Valley Golf Course in Whitestown, as "pretty cool".

The world's number one ranked player will bring his skills to Central New York next month, but more importantly to the officials at Atunyote, he will bring his stardom. Wood's will bring his smile, and charisma, and everything that makes him who he is. Everything that attracts a huge following, no matter where he goes.

"I cant wait to see him, it is just amazing." said Whitesboro native Keith Williams, in the middle of his round at Hidden Valley Friday.

Williams and his friend are not quite as good as Woods, just yet , however they try to be. They have a Tiger club head, and even use Tiger Woods clubs. Both said Friday that Tiger coming to Atunoyte will put the Turning Stone on the map. "This is very important, because he is the best golfer in the world, the best athlete." said Dave Egresits.
