Irish Festival Gets Helps From Over 500 Volunteers

With 30,000 people expected to walk through the Irish gates over the next three days, much time has been spent on making sure they will all have a good time. The planning that goes into the event started well over a year ago and it all comes together just days before the event.

Folding t-shirts, setting up booths, nailing down the finishing touches are all aspects that make the Irish festival all comes together with the hard work of volunteers. The festival committee works on the event all year long, a year of planning that all comes to head just hours before the event with the help of over 500 volunteers.

Like Jim and Judy green, the quintessential Irish couple, they came all the way from the sunshine state to lend a helping hand. They said, “because we are Irish, we love the festival, we love the people and we come every year to help out.”
