UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Police, Oneida County Sheriff's dive team and the Oriskany Fire Department are back on the scene at Leland Avenue in the Mohawk River where a vehicle reportedly went through the ice last night.

Crews were called to the area just after 7:30 p.m. Monday night after witnesses say they saw a vehicle with its tail lights on go through the ice in the river.

It's not clear how the car got onto the ice.

Police say they also don't know if anyone was inside.

To be safe, they've brought in dive team. The dive team was back on the scene Tuesday morning.
