Grant awarded for fiber optic network in Mohawk Valley

(WKTV) - Northland Networks received a grant of $703,500 from the
Empire State Development Board.

The grant will be used to help fund a fiber optic network called Mohawk Valley Broadband, extending from Herkimer to Oneida County. The network will increase the bandwidth in the Mohawk Valley region.

The Empire State Development Board awarded a total of $6.1 million dollars for projects across the state.
