Guarding the tomb tradition continues for local church

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV)- The start of the Easter Weekend was Friday and for many that means the start of very important traditions.

To kick-off the holiday weekend, children at the Holy Trinity Church in Utica took part in the living stations of the cross.

Also, starting tomorrow until Easter Sunday, St. Michael's Lancers will be standing by a replication of the tomb of Jesus Christ.

The guarding of the tomb is a tradition that goes back more than 100 years since the predominantly polish church was formed.
