Ilion-Mohawk first school board meeting

(WKTV) - The newly elected school board for the Ilion-Mohawk Central School District met for the very first time Thursday night.

The seven candidates were elected last night. After being sworn in, the group began to tackle the many issues facing the newly merged school district.

The first order of business was the district budget.

"Well, we're certainly moving along," said Mark Vivacqua superintendent with BOCES. "The board has to develop budget and they have about a month to do it."

The district has until April 25 to adopt a budget.
