Ilion-Mohawk approves budget, picks superintendent
(WKTV) - The newly merged Ilion-Mohawk Central School District unanimously approved its budget and appointed Cosimo Tangorra as its superintendent Thursday night.
The approximately $44.1 Million dollar budget for the 2013-14 school year comes with a 2 percent tax rate increase. The budget includes about $4.4 Million in state aid.
Tangorra has a five year contract with an annual base salary of about $152,000. He starts his new position in July.
The budget vote is May 21.
