Human remains found at vacant Little Falls house

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police are investigating a suspicious death in the city of Little Falls.

State Police say they received the call from Little Falls Police around 2:15 pm Wednesday of remains found in the backyard of a home at 59 1/2 Flint Ave., a few houses up from Crabby's Sandwiches.

Neighbors say the home had been abandoned for the past few years.

Police got the call after someone working in the yard discovered the remains.
Authorities say it is still early in the investigation, they are still unsure of the identity or cause of death.

"It's very early we'll get an autopsy as soon as possible, at this point we're waiting for a search warrant and working with the district attorneys office, but it's too early to tell if anything sinister was involved just yet," said Captain Mark Lincoln of New York State Police's Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

Authorities ask if anyone has any information about the discovery to call 315-366-6000.
