UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - You don't have to go far to find a hero, several of them were honored at a ceremony during a Common Council Meeting Wednesday night.

Seven members of the Utica Fire Department and one Utica Police officer received recognition for their efforts in rescuing 4-year-old Halima Haji from a fire at Adrean Terrace Apartments more than a week ago in East Utica.
