UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) It is Valentines Day and what better way to show your sweetie you love them than by surprising them with four singing men who make up the Valentines Day Quartet.
"I was very surprised," said Sharon Lapino who was serenaded at the Bank of Utica. " He is my husband of 42 years so I should have known he would do something like this."
Members of the Mohawk Valley Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society are making the rounds throughout the area fulfilling orders for singing valentines.
It is a fundraiser to support their performances and recruitment efforts during the year.
The men in the group are all volunteers and perform because they enjoy it.
"The best part of singing valentines is seeing people's reactions," said Don Drake. "It's just so much fun."
The serenade costs $40 and an extra $5 for a picture taken with the men.
