Man who threatens a person at a Cooperstown store faces burglary charges

(WKTV) - The man arrested for pulling a gun on a store manager in Cooperstown has now been charged.

Barry Renert has been charged with second-degree burglary after an incident on Monday.

Authorities said he walked into the 7th Inning Stretch memorabilia store with a gun and made a threat. And then, the person he threatened pulled a gun on Renert and fired shots.

Renert then fled the scene. Authorities eventually caught up with him in Virginia, where he was arrested Monday night.
