Crash leads to Leandra's Law charge for Clayville woman
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y., (WKTV) - A Clayville woman faces charges under the Leandra's Law.
New Hartford Police said Terri Lane, 52, was driving south on Genesee Street in the village when she hit a parked car. Lane had a 3-year-old child in the car, who was injured in the crash.
The incident happened at around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
She was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the motor vehicle (Leandra’s Law) , which is an E-Class Felony.
She was also charged with driving a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, moving from a lane unsafely, a seatbelt violation and an unrestrained child violation.
Lane was arraigned in the Town of New Hartford and taken to Oneida County Jail.
