Oriskany Falls woman faces Leandra's Law charge after smashing into building

(WKTV) - An Oriskany Falls woman is facing a Leandra's Law violation after authorities say she smashed her car into a local library.

New York State Police say Jamie L. Kilts, 37, was driving north on Main Street in Oriskany Falls when she lost control of her car, went off the road and hit the library. All the while with her 2-year-old child allegedly in the car.

Police says at the time she was under the influence of prescription medication.

Kilts is charged with aggravated DWI/ With a child (Leandra's Law), DWAI, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated unlicensed operation.
