Reward announced for Adirondack Scenic Railroad vandalism

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (WKTV)- The Adirondack Scenic Railroad is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in with damage done to one of the trains stationed in Lake Placid.

Railroad officials said that wiring was cut in the train. The vandalism occurred earlier this month.

"Unfortunately, due to the extent of the damage it is likely that we will not be able to operate out of Lake Placid for the remainder of our season," said Bethan Maher, Executive Director says. "Total lost revenue will exceed $45,000."
