Suspect still on the loose after Stewart's Shop robbery

POLAND, N.Y. (WKTV)-Herkimer State Police and K-9 units are searching for the suspect who robbed a Stewart's Shop in the Village of Poland.

According to state police, a man robbed the Stewart's convenient store on 8 Cold Brook St. just before 10 Wednesday night.

The man walked into the store demanded money, and threatened to use a gun even though no weapon was displayed.

He then fled on foot heading south towards State Route 8 and State Route 28.

They say the suspect could have eventually taken off in An unknown vehicle.

Police describe the suspect as a white male around 6 feet 3 inches tall. He could have facial hair and green eyes. He was wearing a hooded winter jacket, a ski mask and jeans.
