"Workplace Decorum" workshop proposed for the Utica Common Council

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV)- Several members of the Utica Common Council proposed Thursday afternoon two pieces of legislation that battle bullying both in the classroom and in council chambers.

Councilman Ed Bucciero said the council has developed a reputation among the public and the media of demonstrating poor behavior during meetings. He is proposing that the council take part in a "Workplace Decorum" workshop.

"It's to openly discuss our issues and our problems as a council," Bucciero said. "And, hopefully we'll develop some techniques that we can each take away and use to control our emotions and our political rhetoric."

Also, they've proposed a proclamation for "Freedom from Bullies Week" which is supposed to take place October 14th through the 20th.

Both, proposals will be presented at the next board meeting on October 16.
