By Sports WKTV

Utica, N.Y. - Three of the 2007 elite runner champions will be back to defend their titles this Sunday. Men's winner Nicholas Kamakya of Kenya will look to hold off a strong field on July 13th. He'll be joined by last years second place finisher, fellow countryman Peter Kamais as well as seven of the top ten finishers from the July 4th Peachtree Roadrace. Included in that group is the winner Terefe Maregu of Ethiopia. Another name to watch is Kenya's Felix Limo. He holds the world record in the 15k.

As for the women's elite, last years champion Lidia Simon of Romainia is back. She will look to hold off four time Boilermaker champ and current course record holder Catherine Ndereba. Both of them are using the 15k as a training run for the Olympics next month in Beijing. Also returning is the women's masters champ Firaya Sultanova of Russia.
