Bassett Wins Boilermaker Corporate Cup

Team Bassett enjoys the post race festivities at the Boilermaker Road Race in Utica, Sunday, July 13. Bassett Healthcare's team won the Corporate Cup Coed large team category again this year with an average finishing time of 1 hour, 9 minutes and 35 seconds.

COOPERSTOWN - Bassett Healthcare’s Boilermaker team took first place in the 15k Corporate Cup Coed large team category at the Sunday, July 13 race in Utica.

The team’s average finishing time was 1 hour, 9 minutes and 35 seconds. Of special note, Bassett physical therapist Mike Rutledge finished in just 52 minutes and 19 seconds, which won him the 40-44 age group and placed him 61st in the race overall out of nearly 10,000 runners.

Twenty employees were on Bassett’s official team, however many more employees participated in both the 15k and 5k Boilermaker races.
