About the event:

The 15-kilometer (9.3 miles) run is the main event of Boilermaker Weekend. The course was re-certified by USA Track & Field (USATF) in 1996, and is marked in kilometers and miles. The City of Utica will keep the streets closed for 2 hours, and splits will be given every mile, at 5K and at 10K. There will be over twenty official water and aid stations along the course.

Important Information for Runners:

The course is open only to registered runners, wheelchair division athletes and official race personnel. If you are a registered runner, you can pick up your race packet at the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, July 11, 2008 and Saturday July 12, 2008. Dogs, skateboards, in-line and roller skates, bicycles, walkers, and baby strollers are prohibited. The use of radio/music player headphones is discouraged.

There will be a free shuttle bus service available to Boilermaker runners to take them to the start line near the Utica Boilers, and after the race on Whitesboro St. to take runners back to Dwyer Ave. until 1:00 PM
