Rome sex offender faces criminal sex charge

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - A registered sex offender in Rome faces charges related to inappropriate sexual relations according to New York State Police.

Benji Dyer, 42, was charged with with third-degree criminal sexual act.

Police say Dyer, who is a registered sex offender, engaged in oral sexual conduct with a child under the age of 17. Dyer was arraigned in the City of Rome Court and is in Oneida County Jail.
