ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A New York-based grocery chain has removed
Topps brand meat products from its shelves after preliminary tests from state Department of Agriculture found the presence of E.coli bacteria.

Maureen Murphy, a spokeswoman for Price Chopper Supermarkets, says state agricultural officials told the company yesterday that
someone had gotten sick after eating Topps burgers purchased at a
Price Chopper store in the Albany area.

Executives ordered all Topps products off the shelves after the Agriculture Department released its preliminary test results.

Murphy says the bacteria was found in 3-pound and 5-pound boxes
of Topps frozen quarter pound hamburger patties with a sell by date
of June 22, 2008.
