Hannaford customers' credit and debit card information hacked

A breach in security has put millions of Hannaford shoppers at risk. The supermarket is confirming that all of it's 165 stores in the northeast had credit and debit card information hacked.

They say more than 4 million credit and debit card numbers were potentially exposed to fraud.

The president of the company issued this statement on their web site:

"Hannaford is cooperating with credit and debit card issuers to ensure those customers who may be affected by the theft are protected. We also alerted law enforcement authorities, and are working closely with them to help identify those responsible."
