Frigidaire recalls thousands of washing machines
(WKTV) - Frigidaire is recalling thousands of washing machines due to a fire hazard.
Cleveland-based Frigidaire is recalling about 35,000 clothes washers because an internal defect in the washer's drain pump can cause heat to build up, posing a fire risk. The recall involves the Crosley, Frigidaire, Kelvinator, Kenmore, Wascomat, and White-Westinghouse top load washers, 3.1 cubic foot front load washers and laundry centers. These washers were sold nationwide at Sears and other retailers from February through May of this year. Consumers should contact Frigidaire at 1-(800) 734-4519 for a free repair. |
