UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The grand opening of a new store in Utica got people up and out early on Thursday.

Shoppers lined up outside the new C.W. Price on Mohawk Street at 6 a.m. Thursday morning for a chance at some deals. The store is an off-price retailer that'll sells clothing, handbags, shoes, and house wares
C.W. Price opened 47 stores across the northeast simultaneously Thursday morning. Assistant Manger Maria Crumb says the hype to get there early was for good reason.

"The first hundred people through the doors get a gift card handed out," Crumb said. "And that's Thursday, Friday and Saturday."

The store has hired 80 workers and say they like to provide a good work environment while providing a service to the community.
