UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A local food cooperative has shut its doors. The Food Shed Buying Club in Utica closed just days before Christmas. It's been a pickup point for local and organic food products for the past couple of years, but after months of declining memberships, organizoers decided it was time to call it quits. Buying clubs are organizations designed to bring farmed foods directly to the consumer. Locovores, don't worry. The following places are still pickup points for local products: Tom's Natural Food in Clinton. The Oneida County Public Market. Brenda's Natural Food in Rome. The Bagel Grove. Utica Loaves and Fishes. Yorkville Organics.
