Smithfield Packing Co. recalls 38,000 lbs of pork sausage
RECALL - Smithfield Packing Company is recalling 38-thousand pounds of pork sausage. That's because the sausage may contain small pieces of plastic, likely from gloves. The U-S Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall Thursday. The agency says the company discovered the problem after two consumer complaints. The sausages were sold in 11 states and the District of Columbia. There have been no reports of injuries. Consumers with questions about the recall should call 877-933-4625.
