NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - With the start of the Great Lent comes the season of the fish fry. Sitrin in New Hartford is holding a fish fry to benefit it's children's center all day on Ash Wednesday. The cost is $9 per plate and the money raised goes to the childcare center, to offset costs of caring for the 64 children who go to the center each day. This year's was the 11th annual fish fry. We also asked on the WKTV Facebook page, where you think the best fish fry in Central New York is served up. At least 100 viewers responded. Some of the more frequent mentions include Fat Cats in Herkimer, The Deerfield Firehouse, and Stan's Seafood in Rome. One new place that you might not know about: Gone Coastal in the Town of Lee. The restaurant opened in December in the old Yawarski's location. You can go to the WKTV Facebook page to find out where you can go this Friday for a fish fry.
